Not All Carbs Are Created Equal
Here’s an important distinction: this isn’t about demonizing all carbohydrates. The inflammatory effects of sugar depend on:

- Fasting insulin: Reflects insulin resistance, which correlates with inflammation.
- HbA1c: Shows average blood sugar over three months.
